Lead Pistol-Shot from the Shipwrecks of the 1715 Fleet
Product Description
Spanish 1715 Treasure Fleet! A lead pistol shot/musket ball from the wrecks of the 1715 Fleet off the coast of Florida. Common, simple round lead ball of standardized size with dark gray surfaces. Average size 1/2” diameter. Every specimen is unique but similar in size and appearance. The one you will receive might be slightly different and not necessarily the same as pictured. The Spanish 1715 Treasure Fleet disaster was probably the greatest to befall any of the Spanish treasure fleets in terms of casualties and money. On July 31, 1715, just days after departing Havana, Cuba, the overloaded Spanish galleons foundered in a hurricane off the east coast of Florida, and all eleven ships of the fleet were lost. A rarely-seen relic from these shipwrecks! ex-Daniel Frank Sedwick, Florida.
