Product Description

An incredibly long 19th Century ornate Arabian or North African flintlock pistol made in the mid 1800s. The wood stock with nicely carved details, and decorated with elaborate silver wire inlay designs, the catch-plate with calligraphic Arabic inscription. The rounded brass cap on the butt allowed the pistol to be used as a "skull crusher" during hand-to-hand combat. The barrel measures about 11 3/4 inches long with a bore that is clear but with finish loss. The frizzen and cock with issues and do get stuck. Total pistol length 18.5 inches.
