A choice antique Spanish baroque bronze miniature signal cannon, dating to the early 18th century. Graceful in form, it displays an excellent level of craftsmanship, with two leaping dolphins comprising the upper two handles. The touch-hole and barrel are clear, meaning it potentially could still be fired, however it is an antique and this should not be attempted without the aid of an expert. It has a wonderful rich deep brassy patina, and comes with a beautifully made custom wood carriage. Cannon measures 8 inches long, entire display 8.5 inches including base.
