This artwork is reverse printed on clear Tempered Glass, hence you will see light coming through.

Which panel is number 1?

The top panel of the wave is number 1, and the bottom panel of the wave is number 2.

Can you putt the two pictures together or should there be a gap?

We would say that this is based on your preference. The closer the gap between the two panels the more drastic the effect. One inch or less in between would work out perfectly!
